In November, Mercury zips through Libra and Scorpio, ending up in Sagittarius. Mars marches through Scorpio. Venus eases through Capricorn (where it will station retrograde in December!). Jupiter also gets to the tail end of Aquarius. The sun transits Scorpio, ending in Sagittarius.
Mars will square Saturn, which everyone on Astro Twitter™ is ~*so afraid of*~, but I have the aspect natally. It’s always funny (sometimes offensive) to see Astro Twitter™ doomsday prepping for something that we live with.
Mercury conjunct Mars on 10 November is conjunct my natal Mars/Mercury conjunction in Scorpio! This is perfect weather for people to have quick thinking, but also to curse way too much and say mean things that take it a little too far. Roasting is supposed to be playful. Don’t take anyone’s core beliefs or identity into the gauntlet.
I think the Mars/Saturn square plays out in my life as extremely focused determination, in its most positive manifestation. At its worst I can be a little too insistent, but I tend to get my way. Mars square Saturn (11 November) can reflect a concern with the material, but needing to change very stubborn things in the system in order to sustain energy. There is an effort towards something permanent, which can be exhausting, or brilliant.
Mars opposite Uranus on 17 November seems like it has the potential to be accident prone, so I advise being cautious, reading all of the instructions, and making sure you know what to do in case of any emergency. Mars in Scorpio is, luckily, very observant. This can also lead to a great discovery, because of whatever doesn’t go according to plan.
What I am looking forward to is the first in our series of eclipses along the Taurus/Scorpio axis. Annually, a new eclipse cycle begins in a new set of signs. It’s not a perfect, mechanical transition though. In December there is still one more eclipse to finish off the current series in Gemini/Sagittarius, which began June 2020. This most recent eclipses shifted how we communicate with each other, how we learn, and how we travel: all significations of Gemini/Sagittarius!
Eclipses are “supercharged lunations”: new or full moons that fall on the lunar nodes, or the nodes of fate. Because it makes an alignment between the moon/sun/earth, these are some of the most important syzygies of the year. So we get a glimpse into what the next eclipses bring on 19 November with a partial full moon lunar eclipse at 27º Taurus. To learn more about how this next eclipse cycle will fall in your chart, look for what houses contain Taurus/Scorpio.
Also on 19 November Venus trines Uranus. I always have happy memories when the benefics aspect Uranus— it brings good things in ways you could never plan for. I think the full moon eclipse in Taurus, which is ruled by Venus, will show you things that are better than expected. In this life there are beautiful, miraculous possibilities that can exceed any sort of thing that you mind can generate on its own.
There can be a loss in energy and oomph as the sun meets with the south node on 23 November, right after it moves into Sagittarius on 22 November. Look out for burnout and make sure you’re saying no to things! It will be Sagittarius season so there’s going to be a lot of “I don’t see why not”.
I actually really like the Venus/Neptune sextile at the end of the month on 30 November. There is a romantic, fairytale vibe. Longing. People coming together to make their dreams happen.
By the way all of these dates are set to CET, which is 6 hours ahead of EST, and 1 hour ahead of GMT.
